Lubing your 10ML-II Breechplug

Downloadable Video: Windows Media File

In this 2 minute, 42 second wmv video, Henry Ball and Randy Wakeman demonstrate the proper lubing of your Savage 10ML-II breechplug.

Working on breechplugs is like working in a glue factory: if you don't watch out, you might get stuck. We want to make sure that doesn't happen; ounce of prevention and so forth.

Unlike any other muzzleloader, the Savage 10ML-II is both proof-tested and repeatedly function-fired prior to leaving the factory. This is part of Savage's "industry-best" very high standard of quality control.

As your new Savage has already been repeatedly fired by factory technicians, it is very smart to both drill out your breechplug and properly lube it before firing your new rifle for the first time. After that, once a year or every 100 shots breechplug maintenance guarantees you brand new gun performance and accuracy, year after year, season after season.
